When I chat to folk about my hope for SingleMaltTeapot, one thing that I always find super exciting is the idea of getting to shout about other makers and crafters. Twitter has some fantastic groups running live tweet events on a weekly basis and it's a great chance to see lots of talented folk and what they are up to. Wednesday evening see's HandmadeHour from HandmadeNation take to the twitterverse and I'm looking forward to sharing my favourites each week with y'all.
Fable and Base caught my eye while chatting about their workshops. From their Whitstable studio, with careful mind payed to a thoughtful and ecological approach, Fable and Base offer taster and intro workshops in screen printing textiles.
Their striking designs are inspired by the botanical environment around them and encourage taking time in approaching the creative. More on their textiles and workshops can be found on their site FableAndBase.
Sometimes you just see something and need to give off a little n'awww......try that sleepy little fox over there for starters. I'm a big fan of anything that may get folk crafting and these little cross stitch kits are a lovely package for anyone needle work inclined.
From napping foxes and chrimbo badgers to toasty warm pugs you can check them all out over on Etsy here LittleBeachHut
My last little pick from last nights HandmadeHour are the needle felt creations of WoolyWildThings. They have all manner of little creations in badge form but of course, when I wander around the house in felt foxy slippers I have to highlight that foxy fellow over there.
Check out more felty goodness over at their Etsy store, here.
Is there a crafter or maker you want to shout about? Have something you'd love me to see? Leave me a comment below or tag with #myteapotmoment over on instagram.
